Annual GHG Measurement: Measure complete Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions following the GHG Protocol methodology, with no exceptions for missing categories unless genuinely inapplicable or unavailable.
Independent Verification: Obtain annual third-party verification from an accredited certification body operating under ISO 14064-3 or equivalent standards. The verification body must be accredited by the Global Accreditation Forum (GAC), formerly the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) member such as UKAS, DAkkS, COFRAC, ENAC, or RvA.
Science-Based Targets: Set validated science-based targets aligned with limiting global warming to 1.5°C, including a net-zero target for 2050 and interim milestones every five years. Targets must cover at least 90% of Scope 3 emissions.
Climate Transition Plan: Develop and publish a comprehensive climate transition plan by Year 3 that addresses major emission sources, outlines reduction strategies, includes stakeholder engagement plans, and demonstrates alignment with a just transition.
